Jeg gledet meg over mye fint å se utenfor vinduet…

In other words: My boyfriend and I took the train from Oslo to Gothenburg this Thursday. The trip takes four hours and costs around 30 dollars/30 euros. Practical and affordable! I enjoyed the views on the way, and we had lovely apricot chocolate and talked about our plans and wishes, and then we arrived in Sweden’s second biggest city. Our hotel, First Hotel G, was located in the same building as the train station. Very convenient! We checked in and enjoyed watching the trains come and go, and we had a coffee to shake off the drowsiness from the train ride, and then we were ready to explore the city in the twilight. We walked along the canals, and a full moon came up. Lovely! It was past dinner time, and we found an Italian restaurant where I was served a very tasty pasta with lemon sauce, pasta and parmesan, and we each had a beer and made a toast to being on vacation. After dinner we felt like one more pint, and someone had recommended a bar called 3 små rum (three small rooms). It turned out to be such a fun little place, with coloured lights and carpets on the walls, and they served lots of specialist beer. We ordered two kinds of their darkest brew and were very happy. At this point it was getting late, so we walked back to the hotel, past charming trams and pretty buildings. We turned in after a great start to our trip!
